Student will become a geography expert in a specific area to teach to the class. To be prepared to teach, the student will work collaboratively to research their country’s resources, culture, government, religion, geography, political atmosphere, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. They will think critically to communicate their findings and present a report about their country in digital format, as well as creative accompanying projects of their choice.

Students will write a wiki article on a country using the acronym GRAPES

Students will complete Exit tickets and summative assessments.

Students will complete cooperative group activities, post tests and other assessment oppurtinities

Students will the Teacher's Table for assistance and accountability check with the center work they have done. Then they have the option to enrich their learning by incorporating the fine arts.

Students will analyze sources for reliability, create and justify claims, and improve geography skills in this center.

Students will relate past and present events from secondary sources. They will begin to develop claims based on the evidence in this center.

Students will gather evidence from primary sources in his center to build background for the topic.

Students will determine if a source is a primary or secondary source. Students will cite specific textual evidence to support their analysis of their claim as well as use their knowledge of primary and secondary sources to further explain their reasoning.
