An oral presentation made by students covering the main points contained in their research paper. Jobs (economy), Food/Natural Resources, Reasons, Slaves/indentured servants, Regions, Location, Land, Climate, Religious Group, Founder(peope), Activities, Interesting Facts, Who did they trade with.

Create an informational powerpoint about a famous person. Research this famous person using the internet and/or books. Identify this person's failures that helped them achieve success later in their life. Be sure to include information about their upbringing/childhood, at least 1 specific failure that they faced, how they overcame, and in what way they were successful.

Sportsmanship and Participation

This project blends the study of Social Studies, Geography, and Language Arts to present Christmas in a given country around the world.

Students are required to actively create a brochure of a major city in ND. They are to include a map and population . Interesting facts, places of interests to visit, things to do and how far it is from Ellendale. In the end the student will create a creative brochure of their city that presents the facts listed above. They will do all of this in a timely manner and will stay focused when working in class.

An evaluation of your Pyramid project on Ancient Egypt

Create a 2-3 minute video documentary about a an Early Explorer person who: broke boundaries, discovered or explored, advanced technology or served and sacrificed themselves. In your documentary you will give facts about the person's life, support those facts with pictures and visuals and most importantly, show through evidence how this person fits the category that you have selected for him/her.

The students offered several pieces of work on the Native American Experience. They participated in the newspaper, food, clothing, locations, etc.Parts of the project included: Fashion Catalog, Native American Time Newspaper, the Native American HappyMeal, locations of the tribes, weapons and dress, the Trail of Tears, Native American Names.

Students are to create a timeline (can be horizontal, vertical, diagonal, etc) of the North Dakota Symbols and when they were adopted.
