You are going to make a scrapbook of this Number unit. You can include pictures, character handwriting, drawing and so on in your scrapbook as long as the content is related to this unit and can display your understanding and appreciation of this unit. You have to include at least four different forms of display. And at least include ten sentences you learned from this unit and must be your own handwriting.This project will be checked at the end of every week for progress.

Create a mask based on traditional Chinese Opera Makeup.

Drawing by hand, each student will create a comic strip to show understanding of Hobby expressions in Chinese with appropriate vocabulary and grammatical sentences.

Students will create a video that will be 2 to 5 minutes in length. Choices include: a game show, a newscast, weather report, a soap-opera, a talk show, etc. All video must have Chinese character captions and student voice recording.

This rubric is designed for Level 3 Honor class. Students will be video taping themselves presenting a skit in Chinese. The skit is based off the vocabulary and grammar points covered in this school year; in addition to any previous knowledge they have learned. The creativity is up to them to decide the rest! The students are being graded both individually and as a group. The skit should be video taped prior to the due date.

You will be covering some of the topics from Workbook P138-139 and creating review material for the class. You have one class period of time to finish review activity and present it to class tomorrow. The review material can be in the forms of game, worksheet, song, or a creation of your own. Make sure to keep the activity simple and relevant to Unit 4 content. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the Unit Review Activity to ensure that all criteria have been met.

7th grade Term II Speaking Assessment

To create a visual demonstration of your daily routine – what you do from the moment you wake up, until you go back to bed. The purpose of the assignment is to demonstrate the your understanding of the use of daily routine activities, when and how to use them correctly, and brief introduction of yourself (name, age, zodiac sign and at least 1 fact about you). The narrative should include specific times of day at which the events occur, and use correct grammar and vocabulary.

Student evaluate weather information of a four day period. Then predict the weather of the fifth day. Includes diagrams (weather maps), descriptions, weather predictions and patterns. All the information must be in Mandarin Chinese.

Students will create a flyer/poster advertising their restaurant in addition to a commerical. Students will entice Chinese viewers to come to their restaurant.

Students will create a movie all in Chinese.
