Students will assume the role of a Shark Tank contestant. Students create a passionate and informed 3-5 minute sales pitch. Audience must be able to identify the product, SWOT analysis the need it fulfills, the targeted audience, the benefit and pricing details.

Students are creating a project based on the TV Show 'Shark Tank'. Students will be utilizing technology, their prior knowledge, and research to complete this project. This project also covers an array of persuasive techniques, proportion, percent, and data analysis. They will be presenting their projects in front of a panel of "Sharks" just as in the show. This panel will be grading the projects based on the following rubric.

Students are to write a realistic adventure fiction story using the writing process, which must include the 7 elements of this genre.

Oral presentation

The student will create a Diorama which includes a favorite scene in the book and an oral report describing the scene they chose (setting, important characters, how/why the scene was important to the plot), tell about the elements in their diorama and how they are related to the scene.

The student will create a Diorama which includes an in-depth understanding of the: setting, important characters, how/why the scene was important to the plot and moral message.

The purpose of this rubric is to allow the student to know what the expectations are for writing this comparing/contrasting essay. This rubric will help me, the teacher, to assess student writing and inform further instruction.The student will compare and contrast acts and scenes from the play, The Crucible, and the movie of the same name.

Rubric evaluates both evidence and performance.
