Our class has been learning about different types of countries. Our project now, is to create a diorama showcasing a country.

Students will create a diorama of their favorite animal's habitat and present their final project to the class. They will write a short explanation about their diorama and it will be displayed in the classroom as we study habitats!

Students will perform a short Reader's Theatre script in groups.

This rubric is designed to help you work on your pantomime scene.

Students will be selecting an animal and research the unique characteristics about this animal. Students will be writing about their animal, and design a presentation to aid them when sharing the traits of their animal. The presentation should tell about where their animal lives, what their animal eats, what their animal looks like, and other interesting facts about the animal they choose. Students should be prepared to answer questions about their animal from their peers.

Activity: Students will create a poster showing the stages of animal growth in a flow chart. Students will add a written description on the poster.

This rubric is used to assess the students' use of simple machines to create a tool to reduce the work required to complete a daily task.

This rubric is used to assess the students' use of the engineering design process for designing a simple machine robot.

The students collaborated to create a Simple Machine Project based on Rube Goldberg specifications. The project should include at least 3 types of simple machines and model demonstrations of each. They should also include an explanation of how the simple machine helps make work easier. They also had to have a compound machine and the description of the simple machines that are in it.

Below you will find the rubric used to determine your overall grade for your Simple Machines project. Each category is scored 1-4, with 4 being the highest you can earn. Help Farmer John with at least 2 simple machines using the materials given: 1. Bring the hay from the top of the barn to feed the animals. 2. Get cows, pigs, horses from truck to pens. 3. Get water from the well to animal pens.

Students will use pieces of metal and string to build boats that float for 1.5 meters and hold a cargo of at least 50 pennies.

Assessment of Elementary Level Writing - 3rd Grade

Students will complete a Family Scrapbook Project. You will demonstrate ways in which heritage is passed through various family celebrations and practices; significant traditions and celebrations in your own family; and understand the term "generation" by constructing a simple family tree.

The student will present an oral presentation to explain the relay or course they created. The presentation will be entirely in French.

Student will be graded on flow, pronunciation, and preparedness.
