You need to design a cover for your magazine. Your magazine cover can be based off of an existing magazine, for example use the layout and name of Teen magazine, but design your own photos, titles and story lines or create your own. Students must pick 5 topics to include in their magazine. Be creative.

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when composing the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your destination have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

Students are to model the ecosystem in the form of a brochure by utilizing 5 of the 11 vocabulary words from our text Chapter 1-Lesson 2. On the cover: title of the lesson "Relationships in Ecosystems" and 5 sub-headings of the students choice; throughout the brochure, each panel should include: a sub-heading, a picture or drawing, a description, and at least 3 examples, all of which must describe the sub-heading; it must also be neat and organized.

Each group is given 1 of the 5 biomes. Students create a bi-fold brochure about their biome. The project must include abiotic factors, biotic factors, affects/effects of abiotic on biotic, fun facts, cover page and pictures.

Scholars will create a written response of a text they have read in class. Responses must include: restate and answer questions, support their answers in their own words, support their answer from the text, and extend their responses with text to text, text to world, or text to self connections.

Students will compose responses to literature based on study guide questions.

Write an information report on an extinct animal. Write about its physical characteristics, habitat, diet, cause of extinction and threats to the animal. Include any other interesting information.

Create a painting or drawing to emulate the 19th Century Romanticism. Create a landscape. Be sure to include: all the six elements 19th Century artists used, title of drawing/painting, one sentence description, and complete an element chart to go along with your piece.
