Select one of the given prompts and present a visual and verbal presentation of 3-5 minutes in length (falling short will cause a deduction / students will be stopped at 5 minutes). Follow the verbal , the whiteboard and this rubric instruction for details. You may have a partner, but each student must speak, and the time will be 5-7 minutes in length. Use a large poster or Powerpoint (or something similar) for the visual. The schedule for presentations will be made by random drawing.

Use the literary element flashback as an introduction technique. Include reactions in your personal narrative such as dialogue and emotions. Include a reflection in your essay on what you learned from this experience. Your personal narrative should be a five paragraph essay with an introduction, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion.

Plan: This rubric is designed to evaluate a semester short story piece that students create for a multi-grade high school (10, 11, 12) Creative Writing class. Students are expected to meet requirements that exemplify the skills learned in class to create a compelling and well-organized fictional narrative. The rubric is in regards to MLA written English, as well as respecting privacy and copyright law. You will receive up to 4 points for a creative title.
