Students are to write a short story that demonstrates their understanding of the prologue and tales of The Canterbury Tales

Students will research, plan, and compose an informative speech in which their performance will be evaluated in terms of specific standards, including the clarity and completeness of your speech and the quality of your presentation in explaining your topic matter. Non-verbal communication is highlighted. Students will have 3 to 4 minutes to deliver the speech. Any over that time will result in points being deducted.

Students chose a book to read independently and then review. The review incorporates information about the book's characters, setting, plot, genre, theme, and writing style.

Evaluates how well students completed the play writing assignment for the Saints literature circle unit.

This rubric is designed to asses the quality of a middle school student's cover letter. Assessment based on grade level expectations.
