What can set you apart from the competition is a well crafted and looking resume. A resume may be your only chance to make this impression. Construct a resume based upon a future job that you would like to prepare for or construct a resume based on a current job that you are trying to obtain now.

Students will be evaluated by the following rubric when turning in a 5 paragraph essay on the topic of choice. Essay includes Introduction, 3 paragraph Body, Conclusion.

Students will do research on a career of their choice and create an informational poster using Microsoft Word or Poster Board.

Students develop a business plan for a retail or service business that they are personally interested in starting. Each student will be responsible for all portions of the comprehensive plan. Business plans will be presented to potential investors and small business owners using the "Shark Tank" format.

Apply knowledge of your interests, values, personality traits, and skills to the career decision making process. Write a research paper. Include a cover page & bibliography of resources used. Draw conclusions between your assessment results (Color Code, Temperament Type, Holland Code) and your interests as to why this would be a good career choice for you. Develop an action plan including the steps you need to take to be eligible for hire in this career.

Complete the items indicated below and place a copy in your student portfolio. To be completed by June 2016.

Create and present a PowerPoint presentation based on YOUR Career Research. The purpose is to inform the class about the chosen occupation for your career plan.
