The purpose of this unit is to facilitate student learning about the world in which we live. Students will receive a 'My Country' packet to complete. The student will pretend that he/she is going to visit their assigned country for 8-10 days and will make round trip travel arrangements to and from their assigned country. To be prepared for the trip, the student will use technology to conduct internet research in order to be able to answer questions about their assigned country’s resources, culture, government, religion, geography, political atmosphere, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. After the student has gathered all of the research, they will synthesize the information and write a report about their country and then create a power point presentation to go with their report.

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your ThingLink presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the ThinkLink presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your ThingLink have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

For this project, you will research one god/goddess and tell about various attributes of that deity. Following several days of research, you will create a PowerPoint presentation on the deity and present this to the class. You will be graded upon the following categories.

Create a cartoon about Internet Safety. Each comic strip will have at least 10 boxes and 10 safety rules (for full marks). Each box should connect to the other and tell some type of story (you have a beginning, ,middle, and an end). You must include at least 2 characters, dialogue, at least 14 speech bubble , and a story that has a problem and a resolution.
