One Point Perspective of A Room

The goal is to create a finished Double Exposure image from 2 or more photographed images.

Students were asked to cartoonize a piece of fruit by adding eyes and a silly mouth. They were then asked to change the color of the mouth to match their fruit and give it a drop shadown and gradient background.

Independent Activity: Self Collage Create a collage that represents who you are as a person using your voice. The collage should be made digitally This collage should consist of a wide variety of images that tell who you are and what is important to you. You will present this poster to the class, and it may be printed for display. Grades will be given according to the attached rubric.

This is an assignment to teach the student the power of shading values, by drawing two dimensional shapes into three- dimensional shaded forms.

Use all 7 tans to create a picture. When finished with image, students then created a background that was relevant to their image. They then created a story to go along with their images.

Students will create a watercolor landscape painting with a creek, railroad, road etc running towards the foreground with other natural elements present in the background. Students will create a foreground, middle ground, and background using watercolor techniques. Students were to pay attention to one point perspective using a horizon line, vanishing point , and guidelines to create their landscapes.

Students used images of landscapes from the internet to draw and paint landscapes of their own. Students were required to identify and show evident foreground, middle ground, and background. Students were required to use watercolor techniques (layering, wet on wet, dry brush, blotting, and wash).

Students will create a poster that illustrates the art elements and principles of design.

Students are to write an I Am Poem using creative words and thoughts and then illustrate it.

Students will create a Op Art 3D Cube

Op Art-Short for Optical Illusions is art that confuses the eye.

T-shirt designs will be a composite of several elements. Your t-shirt design needs to include elements of design and principles of design with a high degree of effectiveness, making your completed project eye-catching and attractive.

Students will learn and understand the meaning behind Motryoshka Dolls ( Russian Nesting Dolls) and create their own rendition of one.

Students will learn about the history of Chinese New Year and the Lantern Festival. Students will then create a replica of their own Lantern based on Chinese culture.

Students will construct a mandala which incorporates 5 aspects of their personality, reoresented symbolically in their mandalas

Students will create graffiti piece. It will include a word, symbol and a background.

Students experimented with lines to form abstract art. They were asked to use a variety of lines of media to create a tin foil low relief sculpture.Students stressed the idea of varied line and spent time discovering color schemes.
