Choose an event in the story to write a live news cast about. Remember, this is live; almost everything will be in present tense! You can get creative and add details that are not in the novel, however, the overall report should be true the the plot, character, and setting of the book. Please include both a written script and a video presentation of your work.

Instructions: Choose an event connected to the novel that you would like to create a news report about. Make sure to include a headline, a byline (reporter name), a lead (a few sentences outlining what the article is about), body paragraphs, quotations, and a conclusion. Be creative and make it interesting!

Prepare an interview with one of the characters in the book you read. Pretend that this character is being interviewed by a talk show host. You may do this project with a partner, but be sure to write a script before taping. You may choose to do a "live" version of this. While your presentation is important, your script is what will be graded.
