Students should select a movie or a book they are familiar with, summarize the story and themes, and explain whether they liked the movie and why in 400 words, double spaced, Times New Roman 12 pt. font, 1" margins. MLA format. The essay will be due 4 class periods from when it was assigned. Alternatively, students may choose to come early or stay late at school by 30 minutes at Ms. England's convenience to make up for time wasted by poor or distracting behavior in class.

Create a meal plan for the school week - 3 meals a day for 4 days, including snacks. Meals should consider food groups and nutrients (see reverse-Healthy Meal Plate). Plan should be organized by day, and each day organized by meal. A grocery list should be included with all the necessary items required. Spices/seasonings are not required. Remember that some items purchased can be used for more than one meal. Project should be neatly typed.

Create a menu. You must give your restaurant a name and create the menu. The menu should include at least four complete choices for each of the sections of the menu: appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts. The menu should be visually pleasing with with easily identifiable headings, prices, and pictures.

Funerals can be a way to both remember, celebrate, and honor the lives of those we love when they pass. Learning how to do this is an important life skill that all of us will face someday. Every culture uses different customs and traditions to do this. In an alternative to visiting the funeral home, students may research and write a 1-page, double spaced, Times New Roman 12 pt. font essay explaining funeral customs around the world.
