Students will research, plan, and compose a speech in which their performance will be evaluated in terms of specific standards set in class, including the clarity and completeness of your speech and the quality of your presentation in explaining your topic matter. Non-verbal communication is highlighted. Students will have 4-5 minutes

After giving the instructions for writing a memoir, students created their own memoir. Our major focus is on showing not telling, figurative language, and sensory details. The most important idea to keep in mind is that it should be your own story and represent a small moment in time.

Write a biography of a person you admire. Could be a historical person, actress or actor, sport person or family member.

Students will create a picture book based on the book they have read, a fictional story the want to create or a recently event that has inspire them or mark them such as birthday, a trip, etc.

Students, in groups, write an expository essay about one of the different topics presented in the movie: The Book of Life

Student will write a memoir or autobiography, a personal narrative and a biography of his/her favorite character who could be a singer, actor/actress, sport man/woman, politician or historic character .

Students will practice vocabulary and general knowledge using their dream Profession to describes his or her future profession. This project could be via an oral presentation or video presentation. Student MUST have some dress related to his her future profession.

Students will practice using the Professions vocabulary in creating a project that describes his or her future profession.

Students will sing a song or rap for PBL purposes. Students will perform for the class individually, in duets, groups or whole class. Students can also use You Tube to use the video as karaoke as well. Lyrics and song choices MUST be school appropriate. Inappropriate lyrics or songs may result in a zero. Dress up is not mandatory but will be evaluated as extra points.

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your oral presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the Power Point presentation or other presentation method, to ensure that all intended elements of your presentation have been represented and all other criteria have been met.
