Students will identify, create, extend, and transfer patterns from one representation to another using actions, objects, and geometric shapes. a. Identify a missing shape within a given pattern of geometric shapes. b. Extend a given pattern, and recognize similarities (such as color, shape, texture or number) in different patterns.

Students are to create a timeline (can be horizontal, vertical, diagonal, etc.) concerning important life events since they were born. There should be no less than 10 items on their timeline. Students must include pictures that they believe represent these important events. Students are to include information on each life event. Time lines will be used to evaluate the first quarter allowing them to analyze biological and social changes.
