Write a School/Class Anthem
Students will write a school/class anthem that incorporates all the common elements as determined in class by listening to national anthems of various countries. They will create their own lyrics and can either create their own music or use a song they already know. It must be a song complete with lyrics, music and performance.

Students will create a map of a country. The map will include a title, a key, and a compass rose. The country, capital, major cities, land forms and bodies of water will be labeled on the map or in the key.

Making your own Map
Students are going to create a map of a state or island that they are going to make up. They must give the state/island a name, a description of what it is like in their state/island and draw a map of it. It can be any shape, color, and form of their choice, but it must be creative. Also, it must have a key, compass rose, cardinal directions, mountains, and rivers. We are creating thematic maps so there must be borders. They will work 4 in a group.
