Students must design a safety poster illustrating lab safety rules.

Students working with a partner must create an edible model of a cell. One of the students will make an animal cell and the other a plant cell. The edible models must accurately represents the parts that help the cell function.

Lesson focuses on the growth of tall buildings and their structures. Students work in teams to develop the tallest tower they can build with limited materials that can support the weight of a tennis ball for 2 minutes. They develop a design on paper, build their tower, present and test their tower to the class, evaluate their results and those of their teammates, and complete reflection sheets.

Bridges are made out of popsicle sticks & hot glue. The bridge must contain the following: the name of truss bridge, a well drawn design Bridge structure is neatly built & the bridge structure must reflect the type of truss bridge named.

Students will build a straw tower as tall as possible that can support the weight of a tennis ball.
