Christmas song writing parody creative

Create a parody to share with your class. Either individually or with a partner, choose a Christmas Carol or christmas poem to parody. You will want to parody the rhyme scheme and the rhythm. Remember the humor of a parody is based upon the audience's comparison of the original and the imitation, so the audience needs to be familiar with the original. You can present a recorded version or perform it live. If you work with a partner, both will receive the same score. All project topics must be approved by me. Due Date: _______________________

Students will work in groups of 3 or 4. They will recreate a childrens book. The students need to make puppets to use in telling their story. Presentation should be 3-5 minutes in length. Script needs to be neatly written or typed and turned in the day of your groups puppet show.

Students work in groups of two to (1) report on a Christmas song of their choice and (2) create and present a parody of that song.
