Students will design and create a Christmas Tree ornament which represents an aspect or various aspects of the Roman festival of Saturnalia.

Students will draw a 10 frame cartoon, complete with thinking/talking bubbles using some Latin. It will contain sufficient text to summarize a Greek/Roman myth or god/goddess.

A rubric that properly evaluates the artistic process. It measures the various phases and approaches that are necessary in the assessment of your project.

Choose a god, a goddess, or myth. Present what you learn in the form of a power point 10-15 slides),a poem, sculpture,song, a monologue in character, a cartoon, or poster. ( the cartoon and poster dimension requirements: full size/2ft x 3ft. If you choose to do a monologue/play, it has to be 3-4 min long.)

Students will write a report with an oral presentation,or a travel brochure on the city of Londinium and the River Thames in Roman Britain and present it, or present a power point, or build a model of the river and city during the Roman Period and with an oral presentation. Students will research the city and river and demonstrate their knowledge of their history and how they have contributed to the modern city by giving a short 4-6 minute presentation.
