recycling project for schools
This rubric is designed for a recycling project that consists of 6th grade students that will organize and create a recycling program at their school. There will be group work, a power point presentation to present to the school to introduce the program A recycling bin needs to be created and finally a financial plan put into effect with the earnings of the recycled products.

Once you have found an item and come up with a way to reuse it, put it to work. If you are able to bring this “new” item to school with you please do so. If you have come up with something that can not easily be brought to school please take a picture of it for me to see. Each student will present their “new” item in class and describe what they have done with it. Have fun with this and be very creative.

Butterfly Life Cycle Project
The students were asked to complete a homework assignment, in which they brought in pictures. In class, they were assigned to arrange the photos in a creative fashion, outlining the order of the human life cycle. They were asked to compare the human life cycle to the butterfly life cycle, which was taught the previous lesson.

Along with that, they will be able to produce complete, grammatically correct sentences to help describe the various stages of the life cycle of a butterfly. They will also have basic knowledge on how to use a digital camera, and iPhoto.
