Math composition book check rubric.
Your math notebook will be collected approximately twice/quarter to be graded on the following five categories: Organization, Class notes, Syllabus, Bell Work, and Punctuality. Every notebook check will be out of 100 points. Each category is worth 20 points.

Classroom Particitpation and Behaviour
This rubric will be used to evaluate how a student works and participates during class time. I have purposely weighted each criteria this way as I believe this rubric will be fairer to the lower level students that are trying to participate rather than those that are largely unresponsive in class - Fair = 3 and Poor = 1

Find the greatest common factor of two whole numbers less than or equal to 100 and the least common multiple of two whole numbers less than or equal to 12. Use the distributive property to express a sum of two whole numbers 1–100 with a common factor as a multiple of a sum of two whole numbers with no common factor. For example, express 36+8 as 4(9+2).

Word Problem/ Problem Solving Rubric
Students create and solve word problems using math problems CCSS.Math.Content.1.OA.A.1 Use addition and subtraction within 20 to solve word problems involving situations of adding to, taking from, putting together, taking apart, and comparing, with unknowns in all positions, e.g., by using objects, drawings, and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.
