What do your friends and family really like about you? What do you like about yourself? What are some of your characteristics? What are your greatest victories and what are those you yet to come? What makes you, you? What sets you apart from your peers? Write a minimum five paragraph essay. Your essay must be typed.

The purpose of this rubric is to allow the student to know what the expectations are for writing this comparing/contrasting essay. This rubric will help me, the teacher, to assess student writing and inform further instruction.The student will compare and contrast chapters from the book Diary of a Wimpy Kid to scenes in the movie.

The students will compare and contrast a character from a book that they have read to themselves. They will include 5 character comparisons, 5 character contrasts, and compare and contrast the settings of the book.
