The students will write an essay in the shape of a diamond. The essay is going to refer to the pastimes and hobbies of a Hispanic personality. In order to share his/her findings the student will prepare a Power Point presentation.

In order to talk about your family cultural background you are going to do a Internet research looking for information about the country that your family came from (it could be a long, long, long time ago…). You can use a poster, a power point presentation, a booklet, construction paper, etc TO ILLUSTRATE YOUR THOUGHS. These are just some ideas. Discuss with your teacher about it. You have to find out the name of the country, the nationality, geographic situation, population, capital or other important data. Then you have to come up with sentences in Spanish describing the people who live or from this region. It could be common characteristic present also on your family members.

Should include foods, beverages, and appropriate prices in THE CURRENCY OF THE COUNTRY ASSIGNED. Correct grammar is a must. The student will include; (4) four appetizers, (6) six entrees, and (4) four desserts. The menu must be creative and well done. You can use a poster, a power point presentation, a booklet, paper plates, etc. These are just some ideas. Discuss with your teacher about it. You will select the country that you want to work on. In order to do that, the teacher will pass around a list with the countries names. You have to make a research about food, currency and other important information. You should cite the sources and bibliography of those information.THE TEACHER IS AVAILABLE FOR HELP AND PROOFREADING DURING LUNCH TIME, STUDY HALL AND CLUB TIME.
