Students are assessed on the four stages of the butterfly including; egg, caterpillar, and pupa. They must label each phase.

Students are to create a drawing of the life cycle of a butterfly or ladybug and write about it.

Students will use three large sheets of construction paper folded in half to create a book with a title page, five different insect profile sections with drawings/illustrations/photographs of the insect on one page and information about the insect on the facing page. The rubric is attached to the back page.
