Students are in charge of designing their own Peace sign.

You and your partner will create a new superhero. He/she must have a name, special powers, costume, weaknesses, secret identity, and an explanation of how they are going to change the world related to bullying. The poster will be designed on paper at least 5'6" tall. Your Superhero will also contain vocabulary words and the staying safe strategies.

Create a personal Coat of Arms. Remember that the purpose of a Coat of Arms is to represent who you are to the world.

The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to all topics disscussed in class. Example- Drugs, Alcohol, Bullying, Tobacco, Decision making, Self- Esteem

The student will create a multi media presentation to represent their research on a topic of interest dealing with the influence of the media. This could be a power point, brochure, catalog ad or poster format.

Student will work on their own to research a culture from a given list and put together a poster which will contain information that the students collected regarding the cultures religion, food, homes, arts/crafts, recreation, communication, science/technology, important people to the culture, a map of where the culture (country) with respect to the world, forms of labor and transportation, etc. (you will need at lease 7 items on your poster and at least 7 different colors used on your poster.

Students will develop a foldable to demonstrate knowledge of different cultures. The foldable will contain the name of the country (With a colored representation of the country--language, pictures of the food they eat (5 with pictures--in color), a hand drawn (colored) flag-- religion (with two unique facts about this), There significant events (with three significant events that have happened in country), Important people of this country with their name, birth date, and accomplishment.

(15 POINTS )- (4 points each section). All students are expected to participate in class! Forms of participation other than participating in class discussion (although this is a primary form of participation) include coming to me for extra help, giving other students feedback in class, and consistent attendance.
