6 Wooden Sculpture

Students explore the art and construction of Louise Nevelson, explore, start to distinguish who they are as an individual, Use various materials to create a composition, effectively paint and title their sculpture, self assess and critique their interpretations and feelings of the artist, their work, and peer work.

4 and 5 Paper Sculptures

Students will explore the art of Richard Sweeney and Louise Nevelson. Students will create 20 or more paper tubes, then they will build an original, abstract, layered design, then they will paint it one color, then give it a title, and then share their likes, dislikes, and interpretations with their peers.
