This essay focuses on changes that you have made in your life by the choices you made/or how you have established connections with other communities in your life.

This rubric can be used at the 9-12 grade levels to make explicit the expectations of writing a personal narrative.

For this assignment my freshmen students had to write a narrative in which they had to weave together two personal experiences into a single story.

Research the approved topic. Submit 3-5 typed pages of publishing the results of your research. Include a Works Cited page with at 3-5 sources used researching the paper. Paper will be graded on suffiency of research to support the thesis, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, and relevance of included information. Grade will be based on organization, clarity, use of transitions, appropriate voice, correct citation format, grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Non-Verbal Response to a "feeling" that you identified in yourself through a memory, a photograph, music, or artwork.
