Reference Chapter 12, 13, 14 and 15 in assigned textbook. In groups of two's students must create a new product (new and revised) to demonstrate the selling process. A flyer for (Advertisement-Magazine Advertisement) must accompany product. Students must demonstrate all activities in the selling process by providing a written skit which shows: the approach, detemining needs, presenting products, overcoming objections, closing the sale, suggestion selling, and follow up. A PowerPoint presentation must also accompany the presentation. As a minimum the PowerPoint must have the following slides: (1) Title slide, (2) Introduction, (3) Sales pitch - how will you sell it and display it, (4) Feature/benefit chart, (5) Demographics- where will it be sold and to who and why, (6) Closing and (7) Works cited slide.

Students are to draw family members and label which stage in the life cycle they are in.

Students are assessed on the four stages of the butterfly including; egg, caterpillar, and pupa. They must label each phase.

This is a rubric assessing comprehension of bar graphs and assessing if graph has been designed properly.

Create a chart comparing the Chicago Fire to another event.

Create a map of your neighborhood highlighting five landmarks.

The students will write an alternate ending to the novel Children of the Fire or change something that occured earlier in the novel and explain how the ending would have altered.

Create a newspaper article including the following elements: picture with caption, title, author, topic paragraph and three detail paragraphs (at least 5 sentences per paragraph).

This rubric will allow me to gauge students ability to accurately predict the beginning and ending of the story based off what they have read.
