Student groups will work in teams to reseach and map underground railroad routes and identify underground railroad stations in Loudoun County, VA.

Student teams conduct discreet research and mapping activities. Individuals are responsible for maintaining a log, collecting and recording evidence. The student must maintain a journal for recording information, notes and synthesizing information. Students are to reflect upon what they learned and upon the experience. Each individual is responsible for collaborating with others throughcooperative work. Their individual effort is essential for success of each team and the overall project.

This rubric is for a U.S. and Virginia History final research project by eras, comprised of a PowerPoint presentation given by two students; each student is responsible for individually completing a two page, typed paper which includes their research for the PowerPoint presentation.
