Welcome! My name is Michelle Mercieca and this is my ePortfolio. This website is a demonstration of my time attending clinical teaching rounds as part of my assessment whilst studying my Diploma in Education (primary) undertaken at La Trobe University Bundoora. It provides insight to my role and participation within the classroom and ultimately demonstrates my knowledge, skills and understanding of primary teaching and associated philosphies. This website explains my personal hopes, goals and dreams that I have asscociated with the teaching profession. It is a living document that will evolve as I continue to develop as a student and teacher. It also displays the professional and personal growth I have experienced throughout the course in primary education thus far.

My education and working background includes a Bachelor in Nursing studying at Victoria University, which I completed in 2004. Upon completion of my studies I worked at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne as a nurse in the cardiac ward and continue to do so to date. I have always had a passion for teaching and have decided to pursue this in order to fulfil my dream in becoming a teacher.
