Homework Policy

Students are expected to turn homework in on time. The following rules apply to late homework:

  • 1 day late = Warning
  • Two days late = One letter grade reduction
  • Three days late= Call to parent
  • Four Days late = No Credit for Assignment

If you are late consistently with your homework, and parents have been called, the next step is a visit to the principal's office.

Homework is assigned in my class when there needs to be a deeper understanding  on the subject matter taught and when students do not complete what was assigned in class. I do not give busy work for students nor do I allow students who have missed assignments to have extra credit work. Extra credit work may be done if the student has turned in all assignments and is just having a hard time understanding materials.
