About Me

My name is Eileen Jeannah Austin. My birth given nickname is, "Sparkle", however I prefer to be called Eileen in a professional setting. I was born in Germany on February 13, 1981 as a military brat. I was raised all over the world to include Panama and the United States, however I resided most of my life in Georgia.

I currently reside in Baltimore, MD and work full time at the University of Maryland Medical Center as a transcriptionist. I began my tenure in Health Information Management in 1998 when I was accepted into the WestGeorgiaSchool to Work Program. Since that time I have received various awards, acknowledgements, and certificates. I have gained an abundance of skills and experience that have given me the opportunity to advance in the Health Information Management Field.

I am also the single mother of a 7-year old daughter who is a cheerleader. I coach her cheerleading squad, the Jaguar All Stars, as an effort to reach out to the community while being involved in my daughter's extra curricular actives. We are a competition squad placing first in several state competitions and fourth place at an international competition.

I am presently enrolled part time at BaltimoreCityCommunity College, where my major is Health Information Management. Please take a look at the page that lists my goals to find out more about my career objectives.

Involved in church has kept me grounded in my spiritual walk with Christ. The lesson that I have learned have also made me the unique person I am: loving, humble, compassionate, and hard working. I look forward to the many challenges that approach me in life. Like the other stumbling stones that I have approached I will conquer; I will rise to the occasion; and I will shine through all of life's obstacles.
