This criteria deals with sound, music, and sound effects.

Poor

Sound is inaudible or crackly. Background noise is present frequently. Music or sound effects are not appropriate or not present.
Fair

Sound is mostly audible. Speakers are mostly clear. Background noise is sometimes present. Music or sound effects are not used frequently, or do not fit the content or subject.
Good

Sound is audible and speakers are clearly heard. Speakers do not mumble. No or little background noise. Music and sound effects are used, and generally support the content or subject.
Excellent

Sound is audible and crisp. Speakers clearly enunciate their words, and vary their tone and emphasis. Music and sound effect clearly relate to the content and/or move the narrative and subject along.
Introduction of Content

This criteria deals with how you introduce evidence, set up your argument, introduce "experts", etc. This also deals with the flow and the pacing of your video.

Poor

Content is choppy. Evidence is not introduced.
"Experts" are not introduced or introduced poorly. Your evidence and argument are poorly arranged, do not make sense, or jump from one topic to another without proper linking. A weak and ineffectual presentation. A thoroughly disorganized endeavor from start to finish with no evident craftsmanship whatever.
Fair

Content is generally flows from one idea to the next. Evidence is given introduction, though minimal. Organization of argument needs some improvement. "Experts" receive general introductions. The pace of the video is mostly smooth, with some areas of either content presented too quickly, content not presented in depth, or content presented too slow. Follows the letter not the spirit of the assignment. Lacks substance, effort, care and concern.
Good

Content flows from one idea to the next. Argument is generally well organized. Experts and evidence receive introductions. Pace of the video is smooth. Covers all the bases but rarely transcends them to express new insights or understandings.
Excellent

Content and argument are presented exceptionally well. Introductions to evidence provide historical context and support. Pace and organization of the video is strong, each piece leading to the next.A neat, solid, tightly organized presentation in which you make your case with authority.

This relates to your use of primary and secondary sources. You must use at least 3 primary sources and at least 2 secondary sources.

Poor

Sources are not used. Sources do not support the argument. Multiple sources are missing: either primary sources or secondary sources. Sources are misinterpreted. Sources are not provided with historical context. Analysis of source is nonexistent. Sources are summarized and not linked to the argument.

Two or three sources do not relate or support the argument presented. One or two sources are misinterpreted or lack historical context. One source is missing. Analysis of source or sources is lacking.

Sources generally support the argument presented. Sources are provided with historical context. One source might be misinterpreted or lack historical context. All primary and secondary sources are present. Analysis of sources is strong.
Excellent

All sources advance the argument presented and are provided with historical context. Sources are integrated elegantly into the video. All primary and secondary sources are present. Sophisticated analysis of source is clear and linked to the argument.
Variety of Content

This relates to the variety of content and sources used, images and interviews, maps, etc.
