Acrylic Color Wheel - Studio Art 
Students trace a provided creative color wheel and paint it accordingly. Students were asked to have colors in proper places, create matched hues, have hand and eye control with their brush, treat the paper properly, and label their colors.

Organized colors correctly and have labels spelled out

The artist has each color labelled correctly and the handwriting is exceptionally neat. The labels are also not distracting and placed in an organized manner.

Excellent

Primary, secondary, and tertiary colors have been exceptionally created and are well-organized. The paint mixed is very true to the color name and differentiates from the color next to it on the wheel.

When tracing the artist did an exceptional job with tracing accurately and using the sharpie to pull nice crisp lines. The artist took amazing care of their pallet and kept it clean throughout the process. The artist did not double dip and mix their paints, but instead always used clean brushes and knives to mix. The paper was taken care of extremely well and there were no damages or accidental errors.

When tracing the artist hand some issues with accurately tracing. Some of the objects aren't similar to the other like objects. When using the sharpie the artist had some shakes and inconsistent lines. The artist took could have taken better care of their pallet and struggled with keeping it clean throughout the process. The artist has a messy pallet because the paints were double dipped. The paper has a decent amount of errors and accidental damages to it (splattered paint/water damage).
Poor

The artist was very messy when tracing the wheel. The lines were very inconsistent when using the sharpie. The pallet and paint were a mess and there are damages and errors on the paper.
Painting Skill

Excellent

All 12 areas were exceptionally painted and the artist stayed withing the lines. The paint has a clean consistent coat that was evenly put on. The artist put multiple coats on if needed. The artist did a great job working around all the small curves and lines.

The 12 areas were painted pretty well with only a few imperfections. The artist has pretty consistent paint. None of the pieces look like they need multiple coats, but just a few areas of touch up.
Fair

The 12 areas were painted, but with several small mistakes. Many colors needed more coats and seemed uneven and translucent in areas.
Poor

The 12 areas were painted with many imperfections. Many of the areas needed more work and attention. Several areas of the wheel needed more coats and were very inconsistent.
Effort

Excellent

The artist used class time wisely and if the artist needed to make up time after class, they did. The work was never rushed and the artist put in full effort from beginning to end to present an amazing piece.
Good

The artist used most of time wisely in class and didn't have to rush to get things done. The work looks like it may have needed a little more time, but the artist put in effort and didn't have distractions in class that took away from their art.
Fair

The artist needed to spend time much better in class. Parts of the wheel look rushed because the artist didn't manage their time well or bought in to distractions around them. The artist could have used more effort when turning in an assignment.
Poor

Very little effort was put forth. The student rushed and was involved in a lot of distractions. The student did not manage their time well and could have done much better.
