Recycling Art Project
Students will use recycled or reusable material to make a project. Give a written paragraph of their project explaining the following: 1. What is your item? 2. How did your create your project (steps used) 3. What materials did you use to create your project? 4. How can someone benefit from using your recycled item? Students will present their projects to the class.

Paragraph has 5 or less grammatical errors. Explains the individual students' process thoroughly. Answers all 5 of the questions required.
PROFICIENT
Paragraph has more then 5 grammatical errors. Explains most of the individual students' process and answers at least 3 of the questions required.
DEVELOPING
Paragraph has 10 or less grammatical errors. somewhat explains the students process and answers only 2 of the questions required.
POOR
Paragraph has more then 10 grammatical errors. Does not explain process thoroughly and does not answer the questions required.
CREATIVITY
ADVANCED
Student has taken the technique being studied and applied it in a way that is totally his/her own.
PROFICIENT
Student has taken the technique being studied and has used source material as a starting place.
DEVELOPING
There is little evidence of creativity, but the student has done the assignment.
POOR
Student has not made much attempt to meet the requirements of the assignment.
PRESENTATION
ADVANCED
Student's project is finished. Student explains and can show 1. what it is, 2. how they made it, and 3. how it can be useful 4.Materials used? 5.Steps used to make the project.
PROFICIENT
Student's project is not completely finished but student can still show and explain 2 out of 3 of the questions.
DEVELOPING
Student's project still needs work and they can explain 1 out of 3 of the questions.
POOR
Students project still needs a lot of work in order to be completed Student cannot answer any of the 3 questions.
