Simple Machines: A Science Project Simple Machines: A Science Project Students will work in groups of three or four and build a simple machine of their own. The students will build a simple machine and be able to demonstrate how to change velocity and acceleration and the relationship between them. Students should also calculate in the effects of gravity and friction of the simple machine. Good Students included many sources of preparation for the simple machine. Beginning ideas will represented and clear.
Simple Machine Simple machine should work properly.	Poor Machine does not work properly.	Fair Machine works but not to the fullest of its ability. Has some small issues.	Good Machine works properly and to its fullest ability.
Velocity and Acceleration Clear relationship between velocity and acceleration should be explained and clear.	Poor Students show no understanding for the relationship of velocity and acceleration. Idea unclear in project.	Fair Students show small understanding for relationship of velocity and acceleration. Idea somewhat unclear.
