Students are to work alone or in teams and build a 3 in wide paper bridge and spans a gap of 20 cm and holds a as many pennies as possible before collapsing.

Students will work in groups of three or four and build a simple machine of their own. The students will build a simple machine and be able to demonstrate how to change velocity and acceleration and the relationship between them. Students should also calculate in the effects of gravity and friction of the simple machine.

Students will work with a partner to build a compound machine of their own. The students will identify a task that the simple machine will complete and must include at least 3 simple machines.

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your powerpoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

Students are responsible for teaching an activity that relates to the current chapter to the class.

The student will construct an informational poster on the a piece of space technology. The poster will be created in Google Docs.
