Project Based Learning - Helpful Insects Insect Diagram The students will research and use note taking skills to learn about beneficial insects. Students will write and share their information about their insect. The students will create a project to present their insect and information to the class. Research/Note taking	Exceeds The students has include all the facts for their insect. The students used their time appropriately.	Fair The students has include 2-3 facts of of the insect, but not all of the facts. The students should have used their time better.	Poor The students only have 1 fact The students did not use their time wisely.
Work quality	Exceeds The student has put exceptional time and effort into making their presentation.	Fair Presentation is structurally correct, but only fair effort was used. The quality of the presentation is not what the students or capable of.	Poor Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the students is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Diagram is incomplete and student cannot name parts on live insect.
Neatness	Exceeds Project exceptionally neat. Clearly, extra effort was made to attend to details. Uses Nice writing and rulers when necessary as well as colors.	Fair The diagram lacks neatness and clarity. Student does not use color to identify various parts of insect.	Poor It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product.
Presentation	Exceeds The students could be heard well. They include lots of facts	Fair The students could not be heard. The presentation has lots of facts. The students could be heard but had few facts.	Poor The students rushed through their presentation and did not have many facts.
