Winter Showcase
Students will work in small groups choreographed dance for winter showcase. The choreography must portray the style accurately and provide forth an effort to their piece of work that they will film for winter showcase.
Grade levels:

Choreography Fall Christmas Final Project
Students will work in small groups of no more than 6 to develop a well choreographed dance to their own choice of Christmas music and style of dance. The choreography must include 3 movements from the learned decade dances. All dances should have a clear idea of direction, utilize dance technique, and be clean as to they will present in front of the class day of finals. Must present a minimum of 1:00 min of content.

Choreography Spring Final Project
Students will work in small groups, duos, trios or solos to develop a well choreographed dance to their own choice of music and style of dance. Choreography should have a clear direction in addition to 3 formations, a partner section, and incorporation of four dance skills. All dances should have a clear idea of direction, utilize dance technique, and be clean. Students should also put thought in costuming and stage presence. Must present 1:30 min of content.

Hip Hop Project
Students will work in groups of no more than 7 and add/create original hip hop choreography. Students are expected to: use min. of 3 formations, modify original choreo given by teacher, and add a min. of 9-8 counts of own choreography. Students will present final projects to class for a grade.

Emoji Choreography Project
Students will work in small groups of four to six to develop a well choreographed dance to match a so called "emoji". Students will find a song that reflects their assigned emoji. The choreography must portray the meaning of the emoji accurately and provide forth an effort. All dances should have a clear idea of emotion, include a minimum of 3 dance skills, 2 formations, a partner and unison section and a minimum time of 1 minute.

Stomp/ Rhythm Project and Performance
Create a six eight count performance piece that includes rhythm and movement using a variety of instruments.

Choreography Spring Final Project
Students will work in small groups, duos, trios or solos to develop a well choreographed dance to their own choice of music and style of dance. Your dance should be created off of inspiration from your images and music. Don't forget about formations, roll-offs, etc. All dances should have a clear idea of direction, utilize dance technique, and be clean. Must present 60-90 seconds of choreography.

Modern Dance Figure Presentation
Students will collaboratively learn, research, and present on a founder of modern dance using Google slides.

Technique Class Rubric
Students will teach a technique class to their peers encompassing a proper warm-up, across the floors exercises, and a brief combo.The style of the class should be consistent throughout the entire class, as well as have some level of difficulty to challenge peers.

Social Dance Final
Students will perform three out of eight social dances they have learned over the weeks. Students will be tested on movement knowledge, performance, and overall effort. Each dance will be grade on the following rubric.
