Social Dance Final Choreography Project - Individual Choreography Project Students will perform three out of eight social dances they have learned over the weeks. Students will be tested on movement knowledge, performance, and overall effort. Each dance will be grade on the following rubric. Choreography Project
	Poor 25 pts	Fair 35 pts	Good 40 pts	Excellent 45 pts
Movement Knowledge 20 pts	Poor Dancers are unprepared and unsure of the choreography. There is no sense of timing, direction or unison.	Fair Dancers are somewhat unprepared and unsure of the choreography. There is some sense of timing, direction, and unison.	Good Dancers know the movement fairly well. They keep together, and have a fairly good sense of timing, direction, and unison. A few mistakes made.	Excellent Dancers know the movement extremely well. They are confident and don't need to follow anyone else. Dancers have a great sense of timing, direction, and unison.
Effort/Participation 20 pts	Poor Dancers put in little effort to try and perform dances.	Fair Dancers show some effort but give up while performing.	Good Dancers have a good effort of the dances, not their full potential.	Excellent Dancers put in immense amount of effort, try their hardest.
Performance Quality 10 pts	Poor Dancers are distracted and insecure. They are often breaking the performance by looking around, talking, and giggling throughout performance. The dancers inconsistently performed with accuracy and purpose.	Fair Dancers are sometimes distracted and insecure. They sometimes break the performance by looking around, talking, or giggling throughout performance. The dancers sometimes performed with accuracy and purpose.	Good Dancers perform with minimal distractions. They look fairly confident and prepared for most of the performance. The dancers performed with accuracy and purpose. The dancers were well prepared and knew the routine.	Excellent Dancers perform with full confidence. They perform with enthusiasm, and are invested in their audience as well as the other dancers onstage. The dancers performed with perfect accuracy and purpose. They were extremely well-prepared and knew the routine.
