Reflection Experience

"Teenagers are like wet cement, just waiting for someone to make a lasting impression."

~Student Venture, 2005

During my internships with Campus Crusdae for Christ in Myrtle Beach, SC and New York City, I worked with Student Venture for two different summers. Student Venture is a part of the organization that works with high school students in the community, in order to enourage them and help clear up misconceptions about Christianity. I lived with other college students from around the nation to help encourage teenagers to make an impact on the world. Both of these experiences helped me apply what I learned from the classroom into real-life situations. I used my small group communication skills in leading a bible study, public speaking skills when speaking at breakout sessions, planning & organization skills to help plan outreaches and students retreats, conflict resolution skills in roommate situations, and much more. My internships set a solid foundation for the rest of my college years, and I know that they will help me in future settings.
