My Life Now (about me)

  I'm the proud mommy of Matthew and Julianna. They are my world. Besides being a mommy, I'm currently a student at EvCC working towards a degree in teaching. I want to teach because I love learning and helping others. I'm plan to transfer to a university once my children are in school. When I have time for myself, I like to scrapbook, snowboard, bowl or ice skate. I love to camp and travel. I value creativity, relationships and experiences. I am accepting and love to listen. I am committed to making a difference in people’s lives. I am goal orientated and find reflection essential. I dedicate my life to family, learning and growth and am excited to pursue a career in education. 

My Inspiration and Goals (career objectives)

  I didn't always know I wanted to teach, the idea came when I realized the difference good teachers could make in a student's life. The teachers at Northwest Regional Learning Center inspired me. They reached out and helped me to believe in myself enough to save and better my life. I've come pretty far from where I started and I want to help others find success in themselves. When I began life as a college student, I knew I wanted to help young people facing adverse situations. I thought about going into human services. My first year, I took child development and education. About my fifth quarter at EvCC is when I knew becoming a teacher was my calling. The more I learn about becoming an educator (and the more steps I take in the direction my heart is leading me), the more I am sure it is the right path for me. I have also found a new love for math and science at EvCC. To be the best mother, teacher and positive role model that I can are my lifetime goals.
