Create a prologue by adding a chapter explaining what caused the building of Ember and the evacuation of its citizens.

Create an alternative ending by adding another chapter or changing the last chapter.

Students are to create a poster with an anti-bullying message.

The students will work on their own to create 3D models of an animal cell and a plant cell. The 3D models will contain all of the cell organelles listed on the assignment sheet. Students will model the cell and organelles accurately, with labels, in a creative and colorful manner. The materials the student choose to use is up to them, but the 3D model must be neat and can stand on its own. A write-up must be included, explaining briefly the function of each organelle.

Create a flyer or brochure describing what your mental health illness is, signs and symptoms of the illness.

Make a newspaper about the book or set in the same city as the book’s main setting. Include at least five parts of a newspaper: comics, advertisements, weather, news stories, feature stories, letters to the editor, obituaries, editorials, sports, etc.
