Hi my name is Joanne Verburgt.

Professional Profile: I obtained my Bachelors in Nursing from Viterbo University in LaCrosse. I am obtaining my Masters degree in Healthcare Administration. This is my FINAL class in graduate school…hooray.

I currently work at Children's Hospital as an inpatient supervisor. I have worked at CHW for 3 years.

Personal Profile: I am originally from Mauston, WI and have one brother, Robert. My husbands name is Adam. We currently live in Muskego and I am thankful for an online class to save a few dollars from my normal Marquette commute.

My husband and I are expecting our first child soon.  This is a very exciting time for us.  

Technology & Teaching: I use technology on a daily basis but unfortunately I tend to stick with the technology I am comfortable with including e-mail, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.  Since I am not an educator I do not have a specific teaching philosophy but as a leader I tend to lead by example.  I take the “teachable moments” and use them to help my employees grow.
