So here I am with my first ever blog.  I wonder how this will look on the page.  I guess I'll just have to post it and view it.  Ciao!

 Above is my first posted blog – it was so tentative.  It was my first opportunity to write for an audience in over 10 years, and this is all that I was capable to do because I had no confidence, I was scared.  Looking back, maybe my blog should’ve looked like this:

Welcome to the reveal of the world’s newest blogger. (By the time you got out the second syllable of newest, there were probably 12,349 more new bloggers.)

This former stay-at-home mom is embarking on a new adventure!  She is going back to school after an eighteen year absence – It’s a scary adventure, just as writing this blog is scary.  The fear of the unknown – why does that hold us back?  Is it a fear of failure – not in this case, as there is nothing to fail (only the grade for making this blog).  Is it a fear of not having the time to do it? That was probably the biggest hold back.  I’d rather play catch with the boys, walk with my neighbor or hang out with my husband than sit at the computer and try to figure out how to do something that seems so hard to figure out.  If only someone could show me how to blog.  Should I wait for my boys to learn?  They have no fear.  But by the time they know how to create one, will they have time for dear old mom.  Or if I figure out how to blog, do I take a step up that ‘cool mom ladder’?  Or how about I just open my eyes wide, leap in with two feet and enjoy the thrill of the learn.
