Proposed Schedule of Team Activities for Jan – April 08         (Draft Jan08)

 

January 7 – 11 (1 week)

  • team meeting to develop plan of action for this term
  • review and finalize Proposed Schedule Jan to April
  • teams begin work charting Outcomes & Activities at NEC and doing Comparison and Breakdown of Activities for both colleges
  • additional reading on ePortfolios with eP reflection
  • use personal ePs to track progress and issues, and for reflection
 

January 14 – 25 (2 weeks)

  • chart outcomes and current activities at NEC
  • chart activities at VCC in CF and CCA for comparison and do breakdown of hours & marks
  • Math and English teams prepare week by week plan for work between Jan 28 and March 28 (to be submitted to Steering Ctte by Jan 18th)
  • continue to use personal ePs to track progress and issues, and for reflection
 

January 28 – March 28 (9 weeks, including mid-terms week)

  • prepare detailed plans for ePortfolio development for each set of outcomes in Math and English based on Current Activities at NEC, including reflection assignments
  • prepare rubrics/tools for assessment and link to eP activities for outcomes
  • prepare model portfolios for Math and English
  • try out some portfolio activities, rubrics (or assessment tools) and reflection assignments with some NEC students
  • continue to use personal ePs to track progress and issues, and for reflection
 

March 31 – April 4 (1 week)

  • continue to try out portfolio activities, etc. with NEC students
  • overflow week for this term’s tasks, or in anticipation of losing time for exam week and Spring Term class start up
  • continue to use personal ePs to track progress and issues, and for reflection
 

April 7 - 11 (exam week?)

  • continue to use personal ePs to track progress and issues, and for reflection
 

April 14 – 18 (first week of new term)

  • continue to use personal ePs to track progress and issues, and for reflection
 

April 21 – 30 (1 ½ weeks)

  • review work done to date and overall plans for portfolios
  • fill in any gaps in portfolio plans, revise and improve plans for portfolios and assessment/rubrics
  • continue to try out portfolio activities with NEC students
  • continue to use personal ePs to track progress and issues, and for reflection
