Conference Call with The Health Initiative of the Americas
The Health Initiative of the Americas (formerly known as the California Mexico Health Initiative) under the auspices of the University of California, is a program dedicated to work to improve the health of California?s Latino migrants and immigrants. After just five years of operation, our program has become instrumental in developing innovative approaches to public health and health care for migrant populations. Our areas of involvement includes researching and implementing new approaches to meet the health-related needs of this vulnerable population, and improving the cultural competency of health care workers, advocates, researchers and students.
