Science Project 
Students are to design an experiment which can be conducted to prove whether a substance is a mixture or a solution. They must include a problem, hypothesis, step by step experiment instructions. Students state their conclusion explaining if the experiment supported their hypothesis.

Student presents all elements of experimental design so that it is exact, specific, and detailed. Student goes above and beyond expectations.

Student presents all key elements of experimental design.

Clearly demonstrates knowledge of the concept.

Student presents most elements of experimental design and is missing components that make their answer, specific, and detailed.

Student presentation is missing most elements of experimental design. Detail is also lacking.
