Space Exploration Project 
Individual students will research and discover information about an aspect of space science that is of interest to him/her: astronauts, space programs, technology, probes, etc. are possible topics. Students will provide a minimum of ten facts with detailed explanations about their chosen topic. The final project will be an electronic presentation that will include all information in a logical format with pictures to support the information and a bibliography.

The project is clear and logical and contains facts with very few mistakes. Information is clear with full understanding of the subject.

The project does not reveal a clear understanding of the subject matter or no visual aid is included (0).
BIBLIOGRAPHY

Must include a bibliography of resources used, including name of website, book, etc.; URL address of websites; author of book; group publishing website or book; year published/updated.<BR>
A minimum of 3 resources. No Wikipedia!

Bibliography includes all sources consulted, is in correct format, and clearly shows student effort beyond the basic search for minimal resources.
Meets Expectations

Bibliography includes all resources consulted, is in correct format, and shows student effort to find basic resources for the project (minimum 3 resources)
Progressing toward Expectation

Bibliography does not include a variety of basic resources, and may not be in the correct format overall.
Very little progession

Bibliography is not in the correct format, and includes only a few generic resources.
VISUAL APPEAL/NEATNESS

Completed project includes neat, legible, orderly information, demonstrating time and care by the student.

Exceeds Expectations

The work done exceeds all expectations. The effort put into this task is the best it can be by the learner and significant time in the project is evident.
Meets Expectations

Work is done with good effort that shows the capability of the learner. It is evident that time was put into this project.
Progressing toward Expectation

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed or not given appropriate time and attention.

Work is done with little effort, shows lack of quality, and may be incomplete. It is evident little time was spent on the final product.
PRESENTATION

Student demonstrated complete subject knowledge and took ownership of the end product.

Exceeds Expectations

The student is well-prepared, presents the information clearly, and displays a complete understanding of the information.
Meets Expectations

The student presents the information clearly and displays a reasonable understanding of their information. There may be mispronunciations or the inability to answer some basic questions.
Progressing toward Expectation

The information presented is not clear, and student lacks understanding of the project. However, order and flow is evident. Cannot answer any basic questions.
Very little progession

Not enough preparation, student lacks understanding of the project. Lacks the expected organization and flow.<BR>
Cannot answer basic questions.
