Effort/Time on Task	Needs Improvement Student did not complete the assignment(s), even with prompting from the teacher.	Getting there... Student completed the assignment(s), but needed frequent redirection from the teacher and/or peers.	Good Work Student completed the assignment(s), but needed one or two reminders from the teacher to redirect their attention.	Excellent Student demonstrated motivation and focus while completing the assignment(s). S/he was not a distraction to other students working around him/her.
Participation	Needs Improvement Students did not constructively participate in the activity at all.	Getting there... Students were slow to participate in the activity and only participated constructively 50% of the time.	Good Work Students participated constructively in the activity for at least 75% of the time.	Excellent Students were constantly active and participated constructively in the activity for 90% or more of the time.
Cooperation	Needs Improvement Students did not follow directions and rules. Student argued with classmates or teacher concerning the task. S/he did not assist other students.	Getting there... Students followed directions and rules only 50% of the time. occasionally argued with others concerning the task. Were distracted and were mostly talking during assignmet	Good Work Students followed directions and rules for the majority of class. they did not argue with others concerning the task and when asked, assisted other students, but talked constantly.	Excellent Students followed directions and rules for the entire class time. Students shared their creative ideas and encouraged other students.
Following Directions	Needs Improvement Students were unable to follow directions due to being off task or unwillingness to work. Even when redirected, student did not follow directions.	Getting there... Students followed the directions, but only minimally. Students did not consistently follow directions in order to understand the task and/or improve their performance.	Good Work Students followed all directions. When confused, student asked for clarification. Participated adequately	Excellent Students followed all directions using a thoughtful approach. When confused, student asked for clarification in order to understand the task.
